Our Story

The Silk Road Treasures is a family owned and operated Import Company. Our gallery is now located in a large warehouse at the Bradley Business Center in Lake Forest. We have been collecting and importing a wide variety of South Central Asian handmade rugs, textiles, furniture, jewelry, and beads for more than ten years. Our hand crafted imported products are from cottage industries and have significant cultural values. Preserving the the South Central Asian culture, and specifically that of Afghanistan, is of the utmost importance to our family.

For the past decade we have not only have focused on our products, but also worked with Afghans living in refugee camps in Pakistan. Now that so many have returned to Afghanistan we have moved our base of operation to Kabul.

It is our privilege to be the patrons of many men and women artists who continue to work in traditional settings. Their unique work is celebrated with our support as these people are the foundation of our business.
